I came to mathematics through an indirect path. After school I completed a banking apprenticeship (Bankkaufmann) in southern Germany, then studied philosophy and economics in Innsbruck before moving to Heidelberg University for a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Economics (2022).”

I then moved to Mannheim University for my M.Sc. in Wirtschaftsmathematik (2025), specializing in optimization and energy economics, with a semester abroad at the University of Connecticut. My master’s thesis, supervised by Mathias Staudigl, developed first-order methods for stochastic optimal control with an application to microgrid optimization.

During my master’s I worked as a working student in the energy sector: at BayWa r.e. Energy Trading in risk management and portfolio management (electricity price forecasting, risk modeling, process automation) and at MVV Trading in power trading (battery storage optimization).

Since August 2025, I am a PhD candidate at the Chair in Mathematical Optimization at Mannheim University, where I work with Mathias Staudigl on algorithms for hierarchical variational inequalities and bilevel optimization.

Here is my CV.
